VERMA a.k.a. SANDY.
-
The
concept of a floating bar company &
bartenders institute was visualized
by Sandeep in 1998, the reason being
his passion, interaction & active
involvement with various bars over the
years.
-
Graduating
from the Institute of Hotel Management
– Goa - needless to say –
the place that got him romantically
involved with its charms of the two
D’s – Dance & Drinks
and henceforth – from time onwards,
he has been trying to recreate that
feel of romance over and over again…
-
Professionally
he has been associated with the wine cellars
of La Rochelle, The Oberoi, and the re-launch
of Oasis, the premiere nightclub of Hyatt
Regency in 1993. The journey carried on
to C.J.’s the hi-tech discotheque
at Le Meridian, via Fireball, the designer
night club at Gurgaon. There onwards took
off to Dubai and was associated with Heritage
International Hotel and handled their
British pub called Broker’s bar-
a Stock Market Conceptual Bar.

He
also regulated the bar of the hotel’s
or rather say Dubai’s most happening
British night club- Staying Alive…
in capacity of their Bar Manager, handling
operations, promotions, training of staff,
various theme parties and liasioning with
various liquor companies.
-
After
coming back from Dubai Sandeep conceptualized
a floating bar company called Shaken
or Stirred (now a subsidiary company
of I.B.O.M.) and the rest is the history
of bartending in India.

VASUL
-
After graduating
from the Institute of Hotel Management,
Lucknow he joined TGIF, Vasant Vihar,
New Delhi as a bartender in 1999 and
won the TGIF bartender of the year award
in the year 2000 & was also involved
in training of staff. This is also when
he met Sandeep and came to know about
Shaken or Stirred.
-
Thereafter
he was involved with the opening of
various bars like Twister’s, G.K.-II,
M-Block market ; Nyx - formerly known
as FireBall, 32nd Milestone, Jaipur
Highway, Gurgaon
-
He
joined Sandeep as Operations & Training
Manager & his first project was
the re-launch of Anticlock, Hotel Hindustan
International as Winning Streak –
a sports bar.

ROHAN
CARVALHO
Rohan started his Bar career from Irish Cafe,
Khar, Mumbai . He polished his practical skills
in various bars like RAIN, Juhu, Mumbai,
THE LIQUIUD LOUNGE/KARMA, Mumbai.
During this tenure he was noticed and acknowledged
for his bar skills. With rising popularity
he was picked up and was instrumental in establishing
the popularity of BOTTLES & CHIMNEYS,
Hyderabad immediately after the launch. He
was involved in formulating the various operational
and control systems and also the various theme
nights. There he came across Sandy (founder
of I.B.O.M.)in May 2003,and henceforth
there is no looking back.....
As Flair Bartender cum Trainer with
I.B.O.M.; he has emerged in the Bar
circuit as one of the finest after sculpturing
his skills to attain finesse in Extreme Flair
Bartending & training with MR.NEU,
LADWREY WILL LOWE and ANDY
CLARIKE -the worlds renowned Flair
Bartenders from BEHIND-BARS, UK
who were brought down by I.B.O.M.
to New Delhi for the training of I.B.O.M.’s
Bartenders between July & August 2003.
He went on to win the Bar Wizard-2003 title
in the national level flair bartending competition
held in Peppers, The Bristot Gurgaon. Now
he plans to compete in the Road House Flair
Championship in September 2004.

The
major projects he was involved with
were DV8; No Escape – where
he created the first ever exclusive
Flaming Shooters & cocktail menu;
Tunnel – 2 bar consultancy,
menu designing & training of staff
in the bar at the most happening night
club in Hyderabad designed on an under
water theme – formerly known
as Tunnel, Taj Krishna, Hyderabad;
also other venues being Capitol; Hash;
Sahara Mall & Teacher’s
Achivement awards.

Instrumental with Dabur Foods Limited,
working with scientists, nutritionists
& food technologists to design the
non-alcoholic smoothie menu created
using only fresh fruits, fruit juices
& a range of ayeurvedic herbs with
various healing properties never before
used in a drink menu.
